Dr. Sybil Dione Rosado is currently an Assistant Professor of Social Sciences and the Blackboard Administrator at Benedict College  She has a Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Florida.   Her research interests include native epistemology, medical anthropology, women’s studies, gender inequality, ethnic identity, the symbolic nature of beauty, and body modification. She positions herself as a visual anthropologist who studies the African Diaspora. She participates in a blended family with seven children. She also serves her college and community as a consultant, volunteer and advisor for student groups. As a Christian she tries to live her life as a Proverbs 31 woman. Dr. Rosado knows that in this millennium the Proverbs 31 woman seems obsolete. However, she is confident that this model is the key to success as a researcher, mother, wife and more importantly a Christian.
